Significant growth in cargo turnover of JSC Daltransugol in the first 7 months of 2025

The total volume of cargo transported during the specified period reached 10.4 million tons, which is 32% more than in the same period last year. The company&s press service reports.

The main growth factors

This jump in performance is due to significant changes in the company&s infrastructure and logistics.:

- Commissioning of new double-track railway lines and stations on the BAM, implemented by the Far Eastern Railway;

- Opening of a transit park at Komsomolsk-Sortirovochnaya station.

All this has made it possible to significantly increase the volume of coal shipments to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, which has become an important driver of positive dynamics.

The impact of infrastructural changes

The modernization of the railway network has had a tangible effect:

- The average daily cargo handling has increased 1.3 times.

- In particular, a large transit park has been opened at Komsomolsk-Sortirovochnaya station, which has significantly expanded transportation opportunities.

Igor Demeshkov, Deputy Director for Railway Transport of JSC Daltransugol, noted:

"Russian Railways is expanding the capacity of the Eastern landfill. In particular, the current processing rate is an average of 804 gondola cars per day. The record result was 1,466 gondola cars per day, achieved together with Russian Railways. Our task is to make this level permanent."

Investment projects and further development

In July, the first stage of a large-scale investment program aimed at increasing the terminal&s production capacity was completed.:

- During this period, the capacity increased by 37%, from 24 to 32.8 million tons of coal annually.

Work is currently underway on the implementation of the second stage, which provides for bringing the total capacity to 40 million tons per year, including construction:

- 14 new facilities, including:

- car dumper for three cars;

- two transfer stations;

- a device for defrosting wagons;

- new tunnels for conveyor lines.
