ACCORDING TO the Rosneft Scientific Center: Artificial intelligence accelerates oil well research

The Ufa scientific center of Rosneft has developed and patented the first software in Russia that uses artificial intelligence capabilities to determine the liquid level and speed of sound waves in the intertubular space of oil wells, the company&s press service reports.

This innovation significantly speeds up the process of analyzing well data: the EchoTools program is able to process more than 10,000 indicators in just 2 minutes, while traditional manual analysis can take more than three days. Thanks to the operational recommendations provided by this software for optimizing the operation of wells, on average, it is possible to additionally extract one ton of oil per day from each well.

The introduction of such technologies and the development of scientific potential are among the priorities of Rosneft&s strategy until 2030.
