The Jib plant presented Russia&s first robotic offshore ice-resistant platform for LUKOIL
16.07.2025
The Jib plant, specializing in the production of metal structures in the Kaliningrad region, has successfully completed the creation of an offshore ice-resistant stationary platform (MLSP) commissioned by LUKOIL. This information was distributed by the head of the administration of the Svetlovsky city district, S. Bevz, on July 14, 2025. The platform left the port of Svetly under the escort of tugboats "Storm" and "Buran". Transportation is carried out on board the specialized transport and installation barge "Yuri Kuvykin". Presumably, the multifunctional tugboat "Finval" is involved in the operation.
Characteristics of MLSP for the D33 deposit:
This platform is the first fully robotic structure in Russia that operates without the constant presence of maintenance personnel. A revolutionary approach to automation!
The customer was the LUKOIL oil company. The installation site is the D33 offshore field in the Baltic Sea near the Kaliningrad coast.
The planned depth of accommodation is 75 meters. This is a serious technical challenge for engineers.
The mass of the finished structure exceeds 11 thousand tons.
The project demonstrates a significant technological breakthrough in the field of offshore oil production. Russian specialists have created unique equipment capable of operating in the harsh conditions of the Baltic Sea without human intervention. Automated systems ensure continuous hydrocarbon production, minimizing operating costs and increasing process safety.
