Orsk Oil Refinery Launches New Oil Product Purification Unit

An innovative system for cleaning gasoline and diesel fuel has been launched at the Orsknefteorgsintez enterprise. The launch took place on Friday, May 16. This was reported by the acting head of the Orenburg region, Evgeny Solntsev, through his Telegram channel.
This unit is a key element of the delayed coking complex (DCC) being developed. This project is being implemented as part of a large-scale production upgrade program. After completion of construction and commissioning of the DCC, the crude oil refining depth will reach an impressive 98.8%.
Financial investments in the creation of this cleaning system amounted to 21 billion rubles. The plant's management has scheduled the launch of the full complex for early 2025. The total cost of the entire project is estimated at 67 billion rubles.
It is worth noting that Orsknefteorgsintez processes 5.8 million tons of oil annually. More than 30 different production facilities operate on its territory. The plant is part of the ForteInvest company, which is its owner.
The launch of the new unit is a significant step in the development of the oil refining industry of the region. Such technological improvements help to improve the quality of final products and increase the economic efficiency of production.
Industry analysts emphasize that the implementation of such projects is especially important in the current economic conditions. Participants of the upcoming conference "Oil and Gas Processing-2025", which will be held on May 29, 2025, will discuss the experience of oil refineries in the field of modernization of production capacities.
