New pressure regulation system from Rosneft subsidiary

Employees of the company "RN-Purneftegaz" (a structural division of Rosneft Corporation) have completed the implementation of a Russian innovative development for local pressure control in injection wells. The economic effect of using this technological solution reaches 12 million rubles annually for each well.

The developed system is a significant breakthrough in the domestic oil and gas service. It ensures precise control of water injection volumes to maintain the required pressure in the formations. This significantly simplifies the process of well operation. Engineers have created a unit based on standard equipment used in oil production. It is placed directly on the surface of the well pad, which makes it possible to service several wells simultaneously. Previously used submersible equipment required costly major repairs for both installation and maintenance. The implementation of this advanced technology in the oil and gas service sector significantly reduces electricity consumption – by 1.2 million kilowatt-hours per year per well. An additional advantage is the ability to conduct hydrodynamic studies without interrupting the water injection process.

The RN-Purneftegaz team is actively distributing this innovative method to other fields owned by Rosneft. This approach in oil and gas services increases the profitability of field development and reduces operating costs.
