Gazprom receives new AL-41ST-25 power unit from Ufa engine builders

UEC-UMPO has completed the test cycle of the second industrial power unit AL-41ST-25. The unit demonstrated compliance with technical parameters under various loads and operating modes.

Now the engine is heading to the Gazprom gas pumping station located in the Republic of Tatarstan. The first model of this unit is already operating at this facility, having worked over 2,400 engine hours in real production conditions.

The AL-41ST-25 power unit is an energy complex with a nominal capacity of 25 megawatts, designed on the basis of the AL-41 aircraft engine. The efficiency of this unit is 39.1%. The engineers of the developer company are working on technological solutions that will increase this figure to 40%. It is important to note that competing models in this segment demonstrate an efficiency of no more than 38.5%.

The development of industrial versions of aircraft engines is a common practice in power engineering. This approach allows using proven technical solutions and adapting them for stationary use. High-efficiency gas pumping units help reduce operating costs and reduce the burden on the environment.
