The Gazprom Head Research Center highly praised the work of TNG Group. Specialists from TNG Information Technologies performed office seismic exploration work MOGT-3D at the Zapadno-Sharapovsky site.

The Kara Sea waters have significant resource potential. However, hydrocarbon exploration is complicated by the low level of knowledge from drilling and seismic exploration. A distinctive feature of the Zapadno-Sharapovsky site is the presence of active tectonics and erosion. This affected both the migration and the preservation of deposits.

The work region, located on the shelf of the Kara Sea, is characterized by complex seismogeological conditions. Thus, paleo-incisions and paleo-depressions are widespread throughout the study area. Gas show zones and faults are also observed. All this reflects the seismic wave field.

Office work was carried out from November 2022 to June 2024. Then the report was successfully defended before the commission of PJSC Gazprom.

"Thanks to the modern processing and interpretation graph, it was possible to describe the geology of the site in detail," said leading geophysicist Semyon STULIKOV. – A model consistent with all input data was also built. An understanding of the prospects and volumes of reserves was formed."

"The project team demonstrated exceptional professionalism by processing and interpreting 3,320 sq. km of marine data," VNIIGAZ CEO Maxim NEDZVETSKY noted in his letter. The letter of thanks was sent to the company's CEO Yan SHARIPOV.

According to him, high-tech processing procedures were carried out. They included median frequency-separated filtering, suppression of ghost waves, multivariate suppression of multiple waves using the Omega software package.

As a result of the work, the geological structure of the sedimentary cover of the Zapadno-Sharapovsky site was studied in detail. Recommendations were given for the location of exploration wells.
