Oilfield service costs are rising, while the number of wells put into operation is falling

According to the Federal State Statistics Service, oil and gas companies' expenses on services increased by 11% in the first nine months of this year and exceeded two trillion rubles. Thus, in January, oil and gas companies paid 196.4 billion rubles for services, in April 228.9 billion, in September - 265.2 billion rubles.
Over the three quarters of 2024, the number of oil wells commissioned amounted to 4,654 units. Over the same period in 2023, 5,112 facilities were commissioned.
