Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation Sergei Mochalnikov has filed a confession

On October 25, the Nikulinsky Court of Moscow sent former Russian Energy Minister Anatoly Yanovsky to prison on charges of large-scale fraud (Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code). Deputy Russian Energy Minister Sergey Mochalnikov avoided pre-trial detention. He is accused of abuse of office (Part 1 of Article 285 of the Criminal Code), has turned himself in at the police station and has been placed under house arrest. Experts note that Mochalnikov expects to sign a pre-trial agreement. The deputy minister failed to limit himself to a ban on certain actions, as previously reported in the material about Yanovsky and Mochalnikov.
