There are two departments in the Ministry of Industry and Trade that deal with oil and gas equipment

The Department of Mechanical Engineering for the Fuel and Energy Complex of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia has formed two departments that oversee oil and gas equipment: the Department of Development of Equipment for Oil and Gas Processing and Water and Gas Purification and the Department of Development of Equipment for Oil and Gas Exploration and Production.
This was reported at the Moscow Oil and Gas Conferences by Vladislav Safarov, a qualified expert who previously worked in the Transneft system. In his speech at the conference, Safarov spoke about state support for import substitution and called on enterprises to work more closely with the Department of Mechanical Engineering for the Fuel and Energy Complex.

The main tasks of the Department of Mechanical Engineering for the Fuel and Energy Complex are:

• preparation of proposals for the formation of state industrial policy in the industries: oil and gas mechanical engineering (equipment, catalysts for oil and gas refining and petrochemical processes); environmental mechanical engineering (equipment for water purification and water treatment, gas purification equipment); power engineering (including equipment for renewable energy); electrical industry (including energy storage systems); cable industry; engineering and hydrogen industry;
• development of draft strategies, programs for the development of industries within the scope of the Department, jointly with the structural divisions of the Ministry;
• preparation of proposals for determining priority areas of scientific, technical and innovative development of industries within the scope of the Department;
• preparation of proposals for technical re-equipment and technological development of industries within the scope of the Department;
• management, in accordance with the established procedure, of federal property of subordinate federal state unitary enterprises and federal budgetary institutions in industries within the scope of the Department;
• implementation of measures to counter terrorism at facilities within the scope of jurisdiction and the established scope of activity of the Department.
