Khadzhimurat Saadulaev will talk about import substitution of equipment for oil refineries
17.09.2024
The XIV annual conference "Modernization of oil and gas processing facilities" (OIL AND GAS REFINING - 2024) will be held on September 25 at the InterContinental Hotel. As part of the session dedicated to import substitution, representative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia Khadzhimurat Saadulaev will talk about the state policy in the field of development of oil and gas engineering with an emphasis on oil refining equipment.
In the context of modern challenges associated with the introduction of sanctions, the speaker will share information on existing government support instruments that cover the entire product creation cycle - from research and development to organizing production and bringing finished products to the market.
On the eve of sanctions, more than 80% of complex equipment for oil refining and petrochemical plants was imported. However, today the Russian engineering industry is demonstrating its readiness to offer solutions that are not inferior to foreign analogues. The speaker will focus on how government support instruments have been adapted to the new realities of the global economy and what steps are being taken to ensure the smooth operation of refineries.
Khadzhimurat Saadulaev will share important information about the practice of reverse engineering as a key tool in the context of a shortage of foreign components. In light of the depletion of Western spare parts and the impossibility of direct import, Russian companies have begun to actively develop reverse engineering technologies to restore and adapt existing equipment. The speaker will talk about government initiatives aimed at supporting this process.
Participants will be able to learn how this strategy not only helps reduce dependence on imports, but also stimulates innovation and the development of domestic production.
Also in the program of the conference "Oil Refining-2024":
• Meeting of chief engineers and chief mechanics of oil and gas refining production facilities
• Discussion of oil and gas refining technologists
• Review of investment projects for the construction of refinery units
• Review of critical equipment for oil and gas refining
• Difficulties in purchasing spare parts and materials for servicing foreign equipment
• Digitalization of oil and gas refining and petrochemical facilities
• Current issues of import substitution of critical equipment
Each conference participant will receive a fresh wall map "Russian Oil Refining"
Moscow oil and gas conferences are a traditional meeting place for fuel and energy companies with their contractors and suppliers.
