Three major specialists in oil and gas equipment gathered in Kronstadt

In St. Petersburg, a meeting of the Coordination Council for Import Substitution of Oil and Gas Equipment was held, co-chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov and Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak. The event was attended (pictured on the left) by the largest mechanical engineer in Russia, Mikhail Ivanov, who oversees Russian oil and gas equipment, energy, heavy engineering, machine tool building and robotics.

Coordination council participants discussed areas, work on which started last year, – this is to ensure the continuous operation of production in the oil, gas and petrochemical complex of Russia, import substitution of equipment for the fuel and energy complex, as well as the development of the production of liquefied natural gas and equipment for drilling and offshore production.

« ;As for government support instruments, it is necessary to approve industry regulations on reverse engineering in the near future. It is specially tuned for fuel and energy projects. I would like to note that almost all fuel and energy companies have already joined in the work to create uniform industry standards for equipment. All this will ultimately contribute to increasing the technical sovereignty of our country’s oil and gas industry,” – Denis Manturov emphasized.

“Reducing import dependence is of great importance for solving the task set by the President to achieve technological sovereignty of Russia. This strategically significant topic for our economy is under constant control of the Government and requires coordinated action from all participants in the process – industry companies, scientific community, experts. Teamwork has already made it possible to achieve practical results. In particular, to date, a heat map of technological equipment deficiencies has been verified with oil and gas companies. A concept for the development and joint use of technological test sites for testing equipment and testing technologies for the oil and gas complex has also been prepared, one of the goals of which is mutual recognition of test results by consumers of equipment and technologies,” – noted Alexander Novak.
