Denis Manturov and Mikhail Ivanov spoke about the Russian machine tool industry

On March 26, 2024, a meeting was held in Moscow at the Government Coordination Center on the development of the machine tool industry. Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov said: “We have a fully updated federal project. Goals are defined, activities, support measures and sources of funding are prescribed. The current budget provides almost 130 billion rubles for this, and by 2030 we will allocate more than 300 billion rubles to support the industry.”
Work on the federal project is already underway. According to Denis Manturov, a new program of preferential guarantees “VEB.RF” has been launched, a financial distribution standard has been approved, taking into account the possibility of further repayment of the loan body upon achieving project indicators, all decisions have been made on new measures to support R&D, including for young entrepreneurs and small teams .
A special role in achieving technological sovereignty is assigned to the machine tool industry as a multidisciplinary industry.
“In particular, it is necessary to enter the top 25 countries in terms of robotization level. In addition to machine tool building and the production of industrial robots, foundry and thermal equipment must be included in the work circuit. Needless to say, how important this is for many sectors of mechanical engineering and the defense industry. And one more block that we need to cover, – These are machines for processing wood, textiles and composite materials,” – said Denis Manturov.
Another prominent machine tool builder, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Mikhail Ivanov, said that the market volume over the past year has more than doubled, the growth of domestic production was 61%, and the production volume reached 102 billion rubles.< br /> Based on materials from Government of the Russian Federation
