Five power plants will be commissioned in the Stavropol Territory

Branch of JSC "SO UES" ODU of the South announced planned projects for the construction and modernization of five power plants in the Stavropol Territory in the period from 2024 to 2029.
It is planned to implement three large construction and commissioning projects renewable energy generation facilities with a total capacity of 163.8 MW, including the second stage of Trunovskaya Wind Farm, Simonovskaya Wind Farm and Sotnikovskaya Wind Farm with expected commissioning dates in 2024 and 2025.
In addition, it is planned to increase the capacity of current power plants by 6 MW through modernization, including the Sengileevskaya HPP and the Kubanskaya PSPP.
Also included in the project is the reconstruction of several substations and air power transmission lines 35-110 kV in order to ensure the energy security of the region.
Minister of Energy, Industry and Communications of the Stavropol Territory Ivan Kovalev noted that the development scheme and program developed by the System Operator electricity systems for the period from 2024 to 2029 takes into account the needs and provides a flexible response to problems in the region's energy supply.
