Glavgosexpertiza of Russia issued a positive conclusion based on the results of reviewing the design documentation and the results of engineering surveys, including checking the reliability of the estimated cost of construction of Artemovskaya CHPP-2. This is one of six RusHydro projects that are being implemented as part of the state program for the development of thermal power industry in the Far East. The commissioning of new power units will make it possible to replace retiring worn-out capacities and ensure a sustainable energy supply to household and industrial consumers, including the needs for electrification of the Eastern range of Russian Railways.
The installed electrical capacity will be 440 MW, the installed thermal capacity – 456 Gcal/h. Main fuel – natural gas; diesel fuel is accepted as emergency fuel. The new power plant will replace the Artyomovskaya CHPP, which has been burning coal since 1936 and is planned for gradual decommissioning.
«The designed CHPP-2 is a complex complex of buildings and structures interconnected by technological processes. In order to ensure import substitution, the project involves the installation of modern equipment produced at domestic power engineering enterprises. Artemovskaya CHPP-2 will ensure the socio-economic development of the region and reliable electricity and heat supply to consumers in the Far Eastern Federal District– commented the chief expert of the project Andrey Bulahtin.
The project includes the construction of the main building with a total area of 30,801 square meters. m. It will house technological equipment, including turbine and boiler rooms, as well as pipeline-deaerator and electrical departments, administrative and utility rooms.
A gas treatment facility, a diesel generator set, cable racks and other structures and communications will be built on the territory of the station to ensure the generation of electrical and thermal energy.

For more than 100 years, JSC «Institute Teploelektroproekt» designs energy facilities. The history of the design institute began in 1918. This year, at the first session of the Central Electrotechnical Council of the Supreme Economic Council, a decision was made to create a Bureau for the design of power plants using peat and coal.In 1932, the Design Bureau was transformed into the All-Union State Trust for the design and survey of thermal power plants and electrical networks «Teploelektroproekt». in 1991, the head production of the institute was transformed into «Institute Teploelektroproekt». The departments of the institute acquired the status of independent organizations. In 2012, JSC «Institute Teploelektroproekt» to the Group of Companies «TEK Mosenergo».

The main activity of JSC «Institute Teploelektroproekt» is the development of projects for the construction of new thermal power plants, reconstruction and technical re-equipment of existing thermal power plants. In work on projects «Institute Teploelektroproekt» acts as a single «turnkey» designer, representing the interests of the customer throughout the entire process of construction of the facility.
