Production of crawler excavators weighing 20-50 tons is being created in Russia
08.09.2023
The Group of Companies Concern Tractor Plants (KTZ) and the KRANEKS Machine-Building Group signed an agreement to create in the Russian Federation a large-scale production of modern crawler excavators weighing 20-50 tons, which will not be inferior to world analogues.
Both companies have significant competencies in mechanical engineering , which is confirmed by the presence of large production facilities and already proven design solutions, including for excavators.
Production of excavators under the CHETRA brand will be launched in Ivanovo in the coming months, and sales will be carried out through a wide dealer network of KTZ. Service and technical support for consumers will be provided 24/7 in all regions of the country.
The signing of an agreement on the creation of a joint venture took place on September 3, 2023 in the Nizhny Novgorod region at an event dedicated to the First National Competition of Road Construction Industry Machine Operators. (The competition is organized by the National Association of Infrastructure Companies with the support of the Avtodor Group of Companies).
Currently, the production of crawler excavators in Russia is minimal, and the main market is represented by machines from China. Since excavators are the main and strategically important earth-moving machines for many industries, the creation of large Russian import-substituting production will strengthen the country’s energy and economic security.
Excavators, produced within the framework of the project will have consumer qualities at the level of world market leaders and have a high degree of localization in accordance with current legislation.
